BNL's technology focuses on using innovative design to replace traditional steel bearings with plastic cost reducing solutions, through extensive research and development, careful material choice, precision tool making, precision moulding and cost cutting automated assembly methods. Our modern manufacturing facility in Knaresborough, UK, boasts state-of-the-art moulding machines offering a clamping force range from 12 to 175 tonnes and three twin-shot moulding machines provide additional flexibility to offer greater added value in our design solutions.
Our dedicated in-house design team achieves the best and most cost-effective solutions for our customers. Specialist design expertise works in conjunction with CAD technology, and the use of added value through the integration of additional features, to form fully integrated assemblies that deliver whole system cost reductions. Our active R&D Department operates in close partnership with the major global plastics compounders in the development of new materials, expanding possibilities for BNL technology. Custom designed rigs are built in-house to test products and monitor bearing wear against time under given conditions, enabling accurate life span and load rating predictions.
